Kingstone High School Students Celebrate Excellent GCSE Results

Staff and students at Kingstone High School are celebrating another excellent set of GCSE results, reflecting the hard work, determination, and commitment shown throughout their academic journey.

There were many standout achievements across a wide range of subjects, including:

· English: 77% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above, and 53% achieved Grade 5+, with 24 students securing top grades (Grade 7 or higher).

· Mathematics: 18 students achieved top grades (Grade 7 or higher), with further outstanding successes in Additional Maths and Further Maths qualifications.

· Music: Every student achieved at least a Grade 5, with 42% awarded a Grade 7 or above.

· Religious Education: 41% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above.

· French: 32% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above.

· Physics: 31% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above.

Incoming Head of School, Matthew Morris, praised both students and staff for their hard work and resilience:

We are incredibly proud of our students, who have worked with such focus and determination to achieve these excellent results. Our staff have supported them every step of the way, and today we celebrate not just academic success, but also the perseverance, growth, and teamwork they have demonstrated. These results reflect the ambition and commitment demonstrating our ability to achieve success together. We wish all our students the very best in their next steps.”

Standout Student Performances

Several students achieved an exceptional set of results, including:

· Oskar Bukowy – 4 x Grade 9s, 3 x Grade 8s, 3 x Grade 7s, 1 x Grade 6, and 1 x Grade 5. One of his Grade 9s was in Further Maths, giving him a total of 12 GCSE qualifications.

· Rosie Minikin – 4 x Grade 9s, 2 x Grade 8s, 2 x Grade 7s.

· Uzair Asif – 3 x Grade 9s, 3 x Grade 8s, 2 x Grade 7s, 1 x Grade 6, and a Distinction in Additional Maths.

· Tala Go-Soco – 2 x Grade 9s, 1 x Grade 8, 5 x Grade 7s, 1 x Grade 6, and a Merit in Additional Maths.

· Stevie-Jane Lord – 1 x Grade 9, 2 x Grade 8s, 5 x Grade 7s, and 1 x Grade 6.

· Khemma Morgan – 1 x Grade 9, 3 x Grade 8s, 1 x Grade 7, 1 x Grade 6, and 3 x Grade 5s.
