Kingstone High School Students Celebrate Excellent GCSE Results 2026

Staff and students at Kingstone High School are celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 as students collect their GCSE results and prepare to take their next steps into further education, apprenticeships and training.

Across the curriculum, students have secured impressive results, with particular highlights including:

· English: 59% achieved a Grade 5+, with 25 students (21%) achieving a Grade 7 or above.

· Mathematics: 24 students achieved top grades (Grade 7 or higher), with further outstanding successes in Additional Maths qualifications.

· Music: 38% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above.

· French: 37% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above.

· Spanish: 32% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above.

Head of School, Matthew Morris, praised both students and staff for their hard work and resilience:

“We are incredibly proud of our students and everything they have achieved. There are some exceptional results to celebrate, alongside continued progress in the number of students achieving their individual target grades since the pandemic. These achievements reflect the determination of our young people and the tremendous support of our staff and families. Most importantly, today is about celebrating every student, their individual journey and the exciting opportunities ahead of them. We wish them every success in their next steps.”

Standout Student Performances

Among the many successes this year were some exceptional individual performances:

· Tilly Crowther – 7 x Grade 9s and 3 x Grade 8s.

· Daniel Hammett – 4 x Grade 9s, 3 x Grade 8s, 2 x Grade 7s.

· Erin Straker – 4 x Grade 9s, 4 x Grade 8s and 1 x Grade 6.

· Adele Burgess – 2 x Grade 9s, 5 x Grade 8s and 2 x Grade 7s.

· Ady Przebinda – 4 x Grade 9s, 3 x Grade 8s, 2 x Grade 7s and 1 x Grade 6.

· Elsie Deterding – 2 x Grade 9s, 4 x Grade 8s and 3 x Grade 7s
